Poetry

L.I: How do words work to make a picture in our mind

This week for writing as a whole class we did poems. For our writing we had to learn how to use Noun's, Adjective's, Verb's and Adverb's. But first we had to get in groups of four and work together to find out what Noun's, Adjective's, Verb's and Adverb's are. Then we had to get 2 example's of Noun's, Adjective's, Verb's and Adverb's. Later we had to write a poem in our groups follow the steps that Mr Ogilvy taught us. We used a Noun from the 2 example's we got then we had to add some Adjective's, Verb's and Adverb's to our poem. The Must do was the same thing but we had to make one by ourselves using the same process. I learnt that a Noun is used to describe something, someone or somewhere. An Adjective is a word that describes a Noun or Pronoun. Then a Verb is a word used to describe a action, state, incident or an event. Finally an Adverb is an Adjective describing a verb.

  1. Great post about your poetry, Fraidoon. I like that you've included all of the information you needed to write the poem as well as both your group work and your own poem.

    What was hard for you?
