The Scientific name for Grey Crowned Cranes is Balearica regulorum are larger than females.Grey Crowned Cranes are over half a metre tall. On the neck the feathers are lighter than the rest of the body.Their legs are long and grey is assist’s them when they go on long grasses.
Appearance
Grey Crowned Cranes look different to other Cranes
The body feathers of the grey crowned crane are mostly grey with the wings having a white band which is streaked with yellow. On the neck the feathers are lighter than the rest of their body. Their name comes from the yellow crown of feathers on their head which are tipped with black

Diet
Grey Crowned Cranes eat a variety of foods                                                                                               plants, seeds, grain, insects, frogs, worms, snakes, small fish and the eggs of aquatic animals. Stamping their feet as they walk, they flush out insects which are quickly caught and eaten.
Habitat
Grey Crowned Cranes live in areas where their is food.
The Grey Crowned Crane lives in Wetland,Grasslands including floodplains, marshes, rivers and savannah. For Grey Crowned Cranes tall white trees are required for nesting.

Facts                                                                                                             There are only about 2700. When the air is ready the bella begins.Their call is known as a useme. It’s call is to get other bird’s away from their territory.They Grey Crowned Cranes is Rare and Endangered.

The Grey Crowned Cranes point their beaks in the sky and do dramatic calls. Some people in Japan thought that the Grey Crowned Crane disappeared.
