The skeleton is one of the most dangerous events in the Winter Olympics. That's why the competitors have safety gear. The Helmet that is worn protects their face fully. They also have special shoes which has spikes on the bottom that helps get a good grip on the ice. Furthermore competitors wear a race suit that has many features to it. Such as long lasting and tough fabric. Finally there are gloves help stop your hand from getting injuries. Do you think the Skeleton should be a sport in the Winter Olympics?

Maori Contingent War Heroes/Opinons
As part as learning about The Maori Battalion, we were to create a group DLO writing our own opinions on why we should remember the Maori contingent's soldiers. The majority of the group chose to remember the soldiers. Jeremiah had disagreed and said we should not remember them because they had a small impact during World War 1. After writing our opinions we researched a Maori contingent war hero. Everyone had to explain their heroes backstory and a heroic deed that they did.

The Maori Battalion
This week for reading my group have been learning about The Maori Battalion. We first read a text to find out what it's about. Once we did that my group and I worked collaboratively to write a summary about The Maori Battalion. In my opinion, I think that the summary we wrote was up to the standard it needed to be. After that we got into pairs and gave each other constructive feedback and feed forward. I think Ofa did really well on answering the questions that he was asked.
Angles - Multiple Rays
Today was our last maths session for this term and we have been learning a lot about angles. Today we were given a worksheet and we were to measure the angles that we were given using our protractor. At first it was challenging because Ofa and I had different techniques so were unsure of which answer was right or wrong. So we both measured again and had the same answer. So I think for next time we just need to measure the shapes accurately and also take our time.

The Treaty Of Waitangi - Kahoot
For the past few weeks Mrs Anderson's reading group have been learning about The Treaty Of Waitangi. Once we read all of the books, we were to make a kahoot for the class that has at least 10 questions about the Treaty. My peers and I tried really hard to make our quiz interesting and tricky for our reading group. During the quiz we needed to collaborate and use our knowledge to get the answer to the questions.
