Winter Learning Journey: Facts About New Zealand People - Day 1 - Activity 1

For this holiday the Winter Learning Journey has a new theme. The theme is Kiwi road trip. Racheal from Auckland University came and talked to us. She said we can do the activities in any order. I chose to do the easy tasks first then go to the harder tasks. For this task we need to find three facts about New Zealand people, and I chose to do an extra fact. To get the facts we need to go on a site called Tourism New Zealand. I learnt that the Maori greeting is called Hangi.

  1. Hello Fraidoon, Wow, you have discovered quite a lot of facts. It is great to see you starting the Winter Learning Journey. I like how you explained what the activity is. Keep it up.

  2. Hello Fraidon you have taught me a lot about the people of New Zealand. It was a very factual DLO. I really hope to see more high quality work from you.

  3. Hello Fraidoon, those facts on your DLO are very amazing. I like how you have added photos especially the rugby photo. It is great to see doing the Winter Learning Journey. Keep up the great work.

  4. Hi Fraidoon!

Welcome to the Winter Learning Journey. I am thrilled that you have joined us this holiday :)

I also love that you have taken the time to create a really cool looking DLO for the first activity. It is such an interesting shape and full of great facts. I didn't know that over three quarters of the New Zealand (NZ) population live in the North Island. You have taught me something new! Thanks!

I hope that you will continue to blog with us over the next two weeks and share your great learning. I wonder what else you will discover about NZ...

Keep up the great work, Fraidoon!

    Rachel :)

  5. Hello Fraidoon
Nice job for your first winter learning journey activity. I really like the layout of your DLO. It looks fancy. Keep up the amazing work Fraidoon!

  6. Hi Fraidoon. I like how you have created a DLO. The facts you have provided are really interesting. Keep up the great work.

  7. Hey Fraidon
