Football Interschool - Attitude Care Award
For this care award I had to represent the school at an interschool competition. This was for my atitude care award. I was apart of the football interschool team. I found this interschool the best because everyone tried their best and we were undefeated. The other teams were really good to, but we still managed to get four wins and one draw. I had really fun representing the school.

BEDMAS
Today for maths I created a DLO on BEDMAS. Bed is an order of operation and it has six different operations. BEDMAS stands for Brackets, Exponents, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction. I learnt that you always have to start with the Brackets when solving a equation and then after that you have to solve the Exponents. There is a extra equation for you to solve. When you get the answer comment how you solved it and I will tell you whether you got it right or wrong.

Tech - New Rotation - Digital Tech
Today we had our tech rotation. My group went to digital tech. Our teacher was Ms Anderson. Today we made our own site. I thought my site was pretty cool. After we made our site we played a game called Moana. In the game we had to figure out how many times we had to move to catch the fish. Each level we finished we had to write something about it.

Today for dance we were learning how to make shapes that flow into other shapes. Mataio and I thought it would be cool to make a stair case. We had to use our hands. Mataio had to go on one knee because he was too tall. Today was really fun because I did something I had never done before.

Confidence Care Award - How to stand up to bullies
Here I have made this poster about how to stand up to bullies. I have created this for my confidence care award. I don't think bullying is ok. It could hurt someones feelings and they would maybe want to transfer schools. If you see someone you can be a hero and back that person up.

Dance - Shapes
This morning we had dance. At dance we had to make different shapes using our bodies. We first warmed up to get our muscles loose. Then after that we watched a video that showed us what the free and bound flow is and how you make them. The free flow is when you move your body as if it was a made from rubber and the bound flow is when you move your body like a robot. Mataio and I had to make twisted, straight curved and angular shapes. We had to switch between high and low levels. A low level shape is a shape that is close to the ground and the high level shape is when you perform your shape in a high position. After that we had to combine groups and show each other our shapes that we had made. I thought Ofa and Josh's shapes were awesome and creative. My favorite part of dance is when we're making the different shapes with our partners. Dance was fantastic and I really enjoyed it.

World Of Maths
Yesterday LS1 and LS2 went to World of Maths. Charles the instructor got us into groups. Then we had to go off and play the math games. During World of Maths we used our Key Competencies, which are thinking, relating to others, using symbols, managing self and participating and contributing. My team and I collaborated and helped each other out on all the activities. When we did not have the same answer we had to negotiate. My favorite game was the word problem because we had to work hard and find the answer to the equation.

Lead a school assembly - Term 2 Week 2 - Confidence Care Award
Today I was a presenter at our school assembly. I did this for my confidence care award. Sky and I had to speak in a loud and clear voice so everyone could hear us. I found it a bit hard because I did not know if I was going to do well or not, but throughout the assembly I got better and better. At the end I felt less nervous because the assembly was over.

Dance Session
Today was a great day. We had our first dance session of the year. It was also new to Mrs Anderson because she had never taught dance in her teaching career. First we had to do a warm up so during the session when we do a plank or something else we are going to get tired and our muscles are going to hurt. Then we had to make our own warm up routine with our partner. With my partner Mataio we did seven warm up routines. My favorite routine was the derpy's. A derpy is berpys but when we get up we have to dab. I liked the it because I could do it fast and easy. I think next time I need to add more exercises to my routine and make it a bit longer.

New Zealand's rubbish
For inquiry this term we are looking at how we can look after our planet by thinking about the ways we reduce, reuse and recycle at panmure bridge school. For this task we had to research on New Zealand's rubbish. I found that New Zealand is really messy. The amount of rubbish we are throwing away can fill one thousand buses. I think we need to lift our game.

Current Events - Ivory
Today Ofa and I made this DLO on Ivory. Currently in China the Government is banning Ivory hunting because it is killing the animals and if this keeps on going on for sure Elephants and Rhinos will get Extinct. What do you think about this, should they ban Ivory hunting. I think they should because there killing random innocent animals.

I have read book called The Seven Stars Of Matariki. This book links to the Sons of Ma’afu because it includes stars. The book is about a boy named Mitai and he lives with his seven handsome brothers. He watches his brothers become bewitched by seven beautiful women, and under their spell, the brothers no longer eat, look after themselves, work in their gardens or hunt.

Something that has happened to me is that once I threw a rock and accidently broke the back window of our car.
|
Today I have created this after reading a book called The Sons of Ma'afu. In the story there are two brothers who keep on getting in trouble. But one day they were using there dad as a target to throw there spear. Then the villagers had enough of the boys nonsense so they wanted to send them to get water from Atavahea. Then the next day the boys got there coconut shells and headed to Atavahea. When they got in the water a huge bird jumped up to get them. But the boys fought hard and got the water. They went back to the village and the people were still not happy with them. Then this time they sent them to Muihatafa to get water from the bottom of the pool. Muihatafa is a vicious trigger fish. To find out what happens next click here.
